![]() For the past few years however, he’s had competition with frames like Ivara, Octavia, or Mirage for that title who can all bring some level of nuke potential to the table when the tricks fail, and Invisibility contributes less to stealth-oriented missions than speed boosts and laser-bypasses do (though Cloud Walker having all of the above certainly doesn’t hurt everyone’s favorite speedrunner). Ostensibly, Loki is “the Trickster” Warframe, and once upon a time he even fit that role. Thanks to nearly a decade of Power Creep, he’s fallen behind significantly. Every faction now has extremely varied unit types, some even having ability resistance several stealth-oriented frames have been introduced capable of everything Loki can do and more more and more of the game is open combat missions where enemies are already alerted, and even the definition of “stealth mission” has become far more than just avoiding cameras and killing the guy closest to a Panic Button. In a time before the Bleed+Viral meta, when every enemy had some amount of armor and shielding, when every frame had several abilities that dealt flat damage with a 130% ceiling on Power Strength, when Excalibur still had Super Jump and even Rhino’s Roar had yet to be introduced, Loki stood out as one of a handful of “Damage Agnostic” frames.
